Hawaiian Christmas at the Polynesian Cultural Center?

Christmas at the PCC is a little different than anywhere else in the world I think. What an amazing experience it is to be here with all these wonderful missionaries who have sacrificed having Christmas with their families to do whatever it takes to make people from all over the world experience the LIGHT OF  CHRISTMAS by filling their time here at the PCC with joyful fun and the spirit of ALOHA and OHANA....love and family. I feel like I am doing something GREAT and it feels GREAT!!!

This is Ann Mendenhall's little granddaughter that is having a private ukulele lesson. She was too little to do much but be delighted in the noise that her strumming made as we sang "Row Row Row your Boat" and made animal sounds for old Macdonalds Farm.

This is me every day in the spot where we continue to meet people from the whole world!
This is a picture with Brother Junior AyYou in the middle with me. This family's generosity is absolutely epic. We are at the food truck that their family has at the front of the PCC where a few hundred missionaries were picking up freshly baked loaves of bread for a little Christmas treat. What a kind and humble man. We talked a bit about football and I was asking about his grandson that plays for the Kansas City Chiefs which he was HAPPY to tell me about.  If you want to be amazed click on this link.

This is my room decorated for Christmas. I made these tree ornaments at work by going early a few days with Jacque's help, which I thought would just take a few minutes and they took about an hour each so my dream of making 50 of them to give to everyone was a little unrealistic...LOL. So I just made a wall tree out of them.

Christmas Day we had a huge combined mission dinner with all the missionaries serving in Hawaii. It included the BYH missionaries along with the service missionaries and young sisters and Elders. We had lots and lots of great food and of course an amazing program.( more pictures to follow)

We finished the day of watching the sunset at turtle bay which is always stunning and beautiful.

This is a picture in front of the tree inside the resort entrance.

Its kinda like a photographers paradise. There are always tons of REAL photographers here taking pictures that you would see on websites or used for commercial use. I couldn't quite taking pictures because it continually changed and kept being more and more beautiful. Of course then there are the surfers to take pictures of too!!
