I'm Finally Here

This is where I go to the spot I work at ....BEAUTIFUL!!

It's been a pretty hectic week! Ivory Zoe and Keelia dropped me off at the Kalispell airport after we spent a night at Bronson and Caseys house on Lake Blaine. It was fun to get to see them all and give them a hug goodbye.

The plane ride was great....I had Tina's neck pillow that saved me from a big pain in my neck from trying to sleep and relax on the plane so that was good.

Elder and Sister Gotes picked me up in Honolulu and we headed to Laie. I am in an apartment with Peggy Arsenault from Idaho and Jenny Perry from Australia. I knew immediately that it was all going to be great with them.

The next day my "guides" were Brother and Sister Thompson from St. George. They were so awesome. They drove me everywhere and toured the whole area showing me everything.

Then came meeting so many different people that I may never get them all straight and introducing me to all the places I would be working at and going to. It was all pretty confusing. They wanted to go to Costco which was great so we went to the mid island costco by the pineapple fields and I got a bunch of supplies....and we had a hot dog of course.

I then did some training met people in charge of the PCC. I met president Grace PCC President, a former Rugby player from New Zealand, so we had a lively interview when I told him about Keelia, of all american fame, playing etc. Then he got me up to speed on what went on at the olympics etc. with the awesome Canadian 7s team. He did finally tell me all about the economics of the PCC and how it all works. VERY INTERESTING for sure.

I am working in "The Settlements" at the PCC. It's where they show the history of Hawaiian quilting and teach Ukulele lessons. There are 2 building. The chapel, with the schoolhouse and the quilting and lessons building. I am doing the ukulele lessons. I did my first lessons Saturday. It is actually so much fun. People from Malaysia, Japan, Germany, USA and  Canada just yesterday. Had a famous Japanese boy band from Japan called JO 1. They had a whole entourage of camera people with them filming the whole thing. Luckily one of the sister missionaries spoke Japanese. We open at noon and close at 6. Perfect hours for me LOL. We are right by the river that goes through the whole PCC so we see all the people on the boat rides and the boat dancers start up at noon next week just before the store I work at opens. So we see that show every day. So far.....pretty amazing. The only struggle has been the humidity... just kidda dripping with sweat...LOL. Everyone says I will get used to it soon.

I certainly feel like I am "where I should be, when I should be here". So all is good.

I sure love you all and hope some of you can make it to PARADISE...someday!!!!
